Though a combination of feeling a little off and some bad blood at work has me feeling uninspired this morning, I’m reminding myself of my “write anyway” motto and trying to put together a post for the day. After all, my minimum word count for these things is only 200 words, which is easy enough, even if the resulting post is just a lot of rambling. I was going to take pictures throughout the day and do a blog on how my birthday turned out, but my phone’s battery life is terrible and I didn’t get a chance to snap pictures of much at all.
See, just that right there was one hundred words in change. So I’m just going to leave today’s post as something short and sweet, something in acknowledgement of the fact that sometimes you just have “those days,” and that’s alright, because a better day is bound to follow. I’m going to spend the rest of the morning reading with a little bit of writing thrown in, hope to avoid some of the drama at work and not let all these little things get to me any more than they already have, and then come back and read some more. Sounds like the perfect antidote for a little bit of that blah feeling.
This is what happened when we’re in the lull period between Rounds for A Round of Words in 80 Days. I just don’t know what to do with myself on a Sunday. So let me end this post with a question and maybe spark up some interesting thoughts. Naturally, A Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire is incredibly character driven….so who are among your favorite characters in literature, and why? I was thinking on how, one day, I hope characters from my own works might make it onto someone’s list, so I’ve been thinking a lot on my own favorite characters and what about them makes them so endearing.
As for my own answer to my own question, I might have to get back to you on that after I’ve had a little more coffee.
