Wow, it’s hard to believe that it’s already Wednesday. I’m not entirely sure where the first part of the week ended up, but, as a result, I feel as though I don’t have much to report compared to Sunday. To my utter delight, Serpent in a Cage continues to be on the forefront of my mind. As I’m starting to really get into a rewrite based on the rough draft, my brain is just singing for me to finish it, finish it, finish it! A very cynical part of me considers this and then asks, “What? So I can revise it again?” and instead of groaning at the task, the brain just singing back, “Yes!”
I know that a big part of this eagerness is due to some work (albeit brief) looking into e-publishing with a (Pesky) friend. The prospect is definitely exciting and I’ve read on various other RoWer blogs that it seems to be working pretty well for them. The only problem is that I would have to finish something before I could publish it, and I don’t have jack crap finished. I also know that I would want to edit the finished product until the word ‘edit’ made it turn green. I know that finished product isn’t finished until I’m at least 98 percent satisfied with it.
98, because I know I’ll never be 100 percent.
It’s exciting, it’s definitely a motivation, and I know if I dedicate myself to it, it might actually get done. My actual goal in the context of RoW80 might have gotten a little skewed and shifted around, but there’s still progress and there’s always another Round…
And a big thank you to anreapo for subscribing! It looks like you’re just getting started, so I look forward to reading your posts, too!
